We had a small gathering of just family, my husband Vince, sister Jacky (down from Darwin) and my daughter, Neena, with her three kids, Amy (5yrs), Connor (2 yrs) and little Piper, just 12 days old. We went out to Edgecombe Brothers Winery in the Swan Valley for lunch, then later in the afternoon we went down to Peasham St Dog Beach to visit Kyle’s ashes at Sunset. It was a beautiful sunny day, and for the first time at the dog beach there was no wind at all, just perfect! There was obviously some emotional sadness due to not having little Cash with us to celebrate, and obviously missing his Dad, but I know he wants us to go on and be happy, so we are trying to continue to learn to live our lives without him. It’s hard. I wish he was here.
