As Kyle’s birthday approached for the second time without him I found it very emotional. We tried to look at ways to acknowledge and celebrate it, and one way his sister, Christina (Neena), thought of was for our family to attend the Birds of Tokyo Concert at Wanneroo Showgrounds.

This was significant for two reasons: the Lantern Song was played as we all left the funeral with our candles and Kyle was to be committed for cremation, and the Wanneroo Showgrounds is were he used to play football and I would go to watch him. He would also take his dog Ballzac there to kick a footy for him.

I got tickets for us as well as little Cash, his Mother and Grandmother, but none of them responded to my text messages or emails, so the tickets went unused. It would have been very special for Cash to be there with us. Unfortunately, it was not to be. It was very emotional when they played the Lantern song and I could not help sobbing. Luckily it was the final song and we went home. I miss you so much Kyle. love Mum xoxo
