I found out in Dec that the rock we wanted could only fit a small plaque and I had certain ideas about what I wanted on the customised personal plaque so it was touch and go if it could be done. I put it out there that if it could fit then I would shout the girls at Pinneroo a bottle of Moet to celebrate – and I am happy to say that is what happened!

In between I went to visit the rock again and check it was what Kyle really wanted. I asked for a sign and he sent me a white feather. Feeling unsure I asked him for another one, and it came. Still not quite convinced I asked for a different coloured feather to be sure that was the rock he wanted – and you guessed it, I got a black one. It made me cry.

I was so relieved when they sent through the email with the artwork for his plaque for approval to go to the foundary for casting. Although it won’t be ready in time for the 2nd anniversary of his death as I had hoped, it will be spectacular when it’s ready.
