Christmas without Cash · Life of Kyle · Messages for Cash · Ways We Remember Kyle

Christmas Day 2017

Today was a really really hard day for all sorts of reasons. But the biggest reasons was I didn’t get to see any of my children or grandchildren because it was not possible. Kyle has died and despite our best attempts we still have been unable to get to see little Cash for his 2nd Christmas. His Dad would not be pleased about that and neither are we.

Christina and her 3 kids were planning to be with us for Christmas Lunch but had the opportunity to go up to the Mine Site with the kids to spend it with her husband, Yee, at the last minute. All of the Step kids and Grandies had other plans with other parts of their families. So it was just a very quite time with Vince and the dog, Cebar. (We did catch up with Christina and the kids on Boxing Day but it really wasn’t quite the same).

We started our day with a trip down to the Dog beach and whilst Vince and Cebar went for a walk I spent some time at the spot where Kyle’s ashes are. Then we dropped Cebar home, and after I gave him a bath we  headed out to Gigiganup to the Crash Site to put some yellow roses and a little Christmas Angel for Kyle.

Our final stop was at Pinneroo at the Memorial Rock we have bought for him, but are still waiting on the Plaque to be Cast and Engraved at the Foundry. Whilst I was there he sent me the gift of a feather. It was overall a very somber Christmas.

Back at home we had a simplified Christmas Dinner, Vince gave me a Bottle of Special Dalwhinnie Gold Whiskey and I had a place set aside for the “Empty Chair” that would be Kyle if he were here.

Lets hope next year’s Christmas is a happier and more joyful one.
