Christmas without Cash · Life of Kyle · Messages for Cash

Christmas 2018

Christmas was always my favourite time of year – as my children became adults with more complicated lives and competing commitments I was always okay with them not being able to make birthdays, Mother’s Day and other events, but Christmas was somehow “My Thing”. I still love Christmas with all the family traditions, but it is now a bitter/sweet day for me. Whilst it is a joyous gift to spend time with my loved ones, family, grandchildren and step-grandchildren, I am acutely aware that two are missing! Kyle is with us in spirit I’m sure, and we leave and “empty chair” in recognition of him along with all our little Christmas ways of remembering him and Cash. But my thoughts often wander to little Cash and how he would be spending his day, and my heart aches wishing he could be sharing Christmas with his Dad’s family. Even the family video we shared has something missing!!!

My Sister, Jacky, was visiting from Darwin and we went out to Kyle’s Crash site. On Boxing Day the family went to Pinneroo to spend some time at Kyle’s Memorial Rock.
