Well I have to say we arrived at 0.30am from our Qantas Flight from Heathrow, via Singapore and after a day and a half of travel without sleep we crashed and slept until 5.30pm – very jet lagged!

So my 57th Birthday was a bit of a non event on the day. That said, over the next few days I had some money from your Grandad Jock and Nana Jock (my parents) and your Aunty Jack (my sister) so I bought myself a Spinning Wheel (a friend on Skye has shown me as it was something I’ve always wanted to try) and your Grandad Vince has ordered me a Saori Weaving Loom (it came the other day) as another Skye friend showed me how to use a weaving loom there.

I’ve always been quite crafty and artistic, (your Dad was also very creative so you might be too?) so this is something new for me to try.

As we are in quarantine at home I couldn’t do much to celebrate my birthday anyway but hopefully when this is all over we can have a belated family gathering – who knows I may get my biggest birthday wish and you might be there too! Maybe one day my Little Gingernut Biscuit! Love you sooooo much xxxx
