Life of Kyle · Messages for Cash · Mothers Day

8th May 2022 – Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day has never really been a big deal for me – especially as my children became adults and were caught up with their working lives, partners lives and so on. For me Christmas was always the time I treasured more.

With that said, they would always at least make contact to wish me a good day even if we didn’t have any special plans to catch up. This year Christina, my daughter, organised a special surprise – it was an “Experience” through Class Bento – and I had no idea what it would be.

It turned out to be a floral making class, where we were also treated to grazing boards and drinks – it was all Mother Daughter pairs and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!

But before I went to the class, I of course stopped in at Pinnaroo (unfortunately my leg is not up to making the trek up the dunes at the dog beach or down the hill to the crash site at Gidgigannup) to take some flowers to Kyle. It might seem strange me taking him flowers when it’s Mother’s Day, and I know no matter how many bunches I take him it can never bring him back, but it is just something I feel I want to do – it feels right somehow!

Christina then spent the rest of her Mother’s Day with her family. I caught up with my Grandchildren separately, and of course I would have loved to have been able to see Cash. After all without me none of them would be here!
